A mechanism through which 'good' viruses kill 'bad' bacteria and block their reproduction

(Tel-Aviv University) Researchers at Tel Aviv University discovered a process by which a "good" virus selectively destroys the DNA of "bad" bacteria, thereby stopping its reproduction. The discovery may assist in the development of treatments against antibiotic-resistant bacteria that cause infectious diseases.
